The Federal Government established Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) Pty Ltd in 2017 to facilitate the development and construction of new infrastructure at Osborne, South Australia, placing Australia at the forefront of naval infrastructure capability through state-of-the-art facilities for the domestic manufacture of world class naval vessels.

Design by Defence Department Consultants was awarded to Lendlease, Managing Contractor, who completed the design and construction of the Osborne South Development Project. ammjohn with ANI have transitioned to working on the Osborne North Development Project, working with Managing Contractor, Laing O’Rourke, in the design and construction of the Future Submarine Project.

The Brief

Initially ANI sought ammjohn’s experience and expertise in areas of plant, equipment, construction, costing, programming and risk. The contract has now grown to include continuous surveillance and advice on current and forecast design, procurement, and construction activities.
